
Julie Dare’s professional writing credits include three seasons as a Staff Writer on the streaming drama series 5th Ward (UMC), Audio Description Writer for hundreds of hours of film and television (including Reservation Dogs, Grey’s Anatomy, The Substance, and Your Monster), and over 40 children’s books for the reading app FarFaria, including Royal Palm Literary Award-winning “Sofia’s Flower.” She began her career as a radio copywriter and voice talent before going on to receive an MFA in Film at Florida State University, and certificates in Writing for TV and Screenwriting from the Professional Programs at UCLA. In addition to her work as a writer, Julie’s worked in Film and TV Development under industry exec Kathryn Tyus-Adair, has been mentored in her writing by Writer/Director Nancy Meyers, served as Assistant to Writer/Director Corin Hardy (The Nun), and taught Writing for TV, Film, Animation, Comic Books, and Video Games in the MFA Creative Writing Program at Full Sail University. In addition to her work with Pipeline, Julie currently serves as a Committee Chair for the IWC (Independent Writers’ Caucus), is in active development with several film and TV projects as a writer, and is currently working on her debut fiction novel.
